What We Do

Inotsiavik is the first of its kind in Nunatsiavut: a youth-led, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating a safe space to learn and celebrate Inuttut language and culture.

Mission

Here at Inotsiavik, we strive to increase proficiency in Inuit cultural skills and Inuttut in a safe, welcoming environment. Rooted in Inuit values, our programming is dedicated to creating opportunities for community members to “live well” through engaging workshops that develop skills and build meaningful relationships across generations.

Vision

We aim to strengthen intergenerational community bonds and connections to identity through language and traditional skills. We hope to impact all Nunatsiavut communities with our work. We strive to contribute positively to the self-esteem and knowledge of our participants and help their pride for being Inuk grow.
